Former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin ? and the family's hometown of Wasilla, Alaska ? were excited about daughter Bristol?s appearance on Dancing With the Stars. And they weren?t disappointed! The 19-year-old mom and abstinence advocate?s provocative performance was a big hit with her fans to the north. "She was great! It was so much fun watching her. We had a party in our living room, and local businesses had "Dance Bristol Dance" signs around town. Folks were cheering her on!" Sarah tells In Touch of the reaction to Bristol's cha-cha to ?Mama Told Me (Not to Come),? in which the brunette beauty seemed to play off her mother's conservative image by tearing off a suit to reveal a sexy red dress. Though Bristol's partner, Mark Ballas, previously said she was uncomfortable to be dancing before a massive audience, Sarah insists her daughter is thrilled to be competing in the ABC reality show. "She's having the time of her life, and we are thankful. This is a story of perseverance, taking personal responsibility, and keeping her head up while having faith. What seems like a great challenge can turn into a great blessing," she adds. After a bitter summer split from Levi Johnston, the father of her 20-month-old son Tripp, Bristol truly seems to be back on top!
